India to Pakistan: Will deal sternly with infiltration, ceasefire violations

Indian Army's Director General of Military Operations (DGMO) Lt Gen A K Bhatt on Monday told his Pakistani partner that any endeavor by the Pakistan military to fall back on unmerited firings along the LoC in Jammu and Kashmir and abet infiltrators would be met with "suitable retaliatory activities".

In their telephonic discussion, the two armed force administrators examined the circumstance along the Line of Control which has seen expanding episodes of truce infringement by Pakistan over the most recent few months.

"DGMO Indian Army passed on his dedication of guaranteeing peace and serenity which is dependent upon Pak Army's goals and activities.

"On the off chance that Pakistan Army keeps on abetting penetrations and cause trans-LC firings, Indian Army will take proper retaliatory activities," the Army said in an announcement, sharing subtle elements of the discussion amongst Bhatt and his Pakistani partner, Maj Gen Sahir Shamshad Mirza.

Armed force said Lt Gen Bhatt highlighted instances of accelerations of pressure by the Pakistan Army amid the discussion.

"On the issue raised by DGMO Pak Army with respect to non military personnel killings, DGMO Indian Army passed on that the Indian Army is an expert Army and won't hurt regular people in any way," the Indian Army said.

It said the demand for the discussion was made by the Pakistan DGMO.
